01. Glad Rags
I spin in the satin of your craving.
What whets your appetite, I wear for shoes. Every step
excruciates your thirst. Where did you go
to school? Paint its colours on my face and watch me
sing the little song. Lick the paint off then
show me your tongue. Ha! You’re all dressed up too.
No no, leave it! Blue and gold.
Before I knew you, I wore black. Only
black on black. Since you snowed me,
I wear your teeth, every season, howling
laughter, miles per gallon, iced tea and the moon.

02. I am a pleasure to touch
I am a pleasure to touch. I smell like keys
in a hot hand. Rib me til I say uncle. Or
daddy. Is tolerance next to godliness?
I was cleanliness. Hell, I still am. I am
just my size. I am what
a hummingbird weighs and a boulder
lodged in your throat combined.
Throw my arms around you
backward. Carry me like I am small
treasure. Mold me into the shape
I told you I am.
